The veterinarians and staff of the Boyne Veterinary Clinic have a deep affection for the welfare and well-being of all animals. Our goal is to provide comprehensive, high-quality veterinary care with an emphasis on exceptional client services. We offer a wide variety of veterinary services including preventive, diagnostic, medical and surgical services. This means you can come to us for everything from routine examinations, vaccinations and parasite prevention to the diagnosis and treatment of health issues to various surgical procedures. We can also help you with your pet’s behavioural or nutritional needs. Please feel free to contact us for a tour or to schedule an appointment. New client and their pets are always welcome

Dr. Funston graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. He then graduated from OVC in 1983 with a DVM and has been a member in good standing of the College of Veterinarians of Ontario since that same year.
Dr. Funston graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. He then graduated from OVC in 1983 with a DVM and has been a member in good standing of the College of Veterinarians of Ontario since that same year. Dr. Funston started his career at the Wingham Veterinary Clinic in Bruce County before establishing the Boyne and Angus Veterinary Clinics.He served as the secretary-treasurer for the Georgian Bay Veterinary Association for 5 years. Dr. Funston was an Ontario Veterinary Medical Association Board representative for the GBVA in 1996 and a member of the Executive Committee of the OVMA in 1997. He was president of the OVMA in 2003 and chairman of the OVMA Economics Committee from 2000 to 2005. He was also a member of the committee to establish the Huronia Veterinary Emergency Clinic in 2002 and nominated to the executive in 2005.
Dr. Funston is an OVMA representative and on the VSTEP task force to develop a program intended to assist foreign veterinarians in obtaining relevant training for licensure in Ontario. He is also a board member of the Alliston & District Humane Society.
